About Us
Aldergrove Festival Days Society (AFDS), incorporated 1984, is a non-profit society run by volunteers and functions to promote community pride within Aldergrove and promote Aldergrove to its neighboring communities. AFDS owns the Coghlan Community Hall (6795 256 St, Aldergrove), which is used to host AFDS meetings and generate income through rental of the hall. The Coghlan Hall has frequently been used as a site for the movie industry.
As an UMBRELLA organization, AFDS is dedicated to bringing together citizens, community groups, service clubs, and organizations to put on the Aldergrove Fair Days Parade and Country Carnival in July, and the Christmas ‘Light Up’ Parade in December.
Membership
AFDS invites everyone to attend monthly meetings at either the Coghlan Hall or other Aldergrove location. The AGM is held in October. Annual membership dues are $5.00. The AFDS website and Facebook page list the meeting dates, times, and location. Members receive notifications via e-mail. AFDS is a friendly group of people always welcoming new members.
