The inaugural Zucchini Luge world championship
We are calling it the world championship because no one has ever done this before. What an opportunity! First make a zucchini car, then race it down our 120ft twisting turning luge track.
We supply the wheels, the zucchini and the decorations. We will also have the tools there to help you make your car a winner. You supply the imagination and the construction. The only rules are that it needs to be less than 5” wide, 10” long and 8oz in weight, and the axles have to go through the zucchini.
If you like you can bring your own cars using any vegetable, or bring along your cub cars (pinewood cars) and race them on our track. The photo shows a pinewood car and a parsnip car ready to go except for the decorations – hey we had a zucchini ready for the photograph but a cook found it and it got turned into salad!
There will be prizes for best decoration and best times in a number of categories.
Note that there are only 100 cars available to build on Saturday and 100 for Sunday, so be early! |
